Valeriia Karpan is a curator, artist, educator, and project coordinator based in Kyiv, Ukraine. She works in the field of cultural education, inclusiveness, and participatory art, focusing on the topics of memory representation and commemoration, creative protest possibilities, and the involvement of children and teenagers in urban planning and public dialogue. Valeriia is a co-founder of the NGO Cultural Geographies and the Children Geographies initiative. She has curated contemporary art exhibitions, authored publications, and coordinated educational projects, workshops, and lectures in Ukraine, Germany, and Poland. Since 2018, she has been a participant in the ‘Variable name’ art group.
