Since 1986, Headlands, a former ArtsLink grantee, has hosted 600 international artists, providing an opportunity for investigation and exchange. Ms. Lovšin was provided with a studio and access to a darkroom, wood shop, letter press, computers, video equipment and a reference library. She had opportunity to interact with other artists in residence and with artists and arts professionals in the larger Bay Area through open houses, performing arts events, public forums and artists’ dinners. Headlands organized a visit to Chicago and while there, Polonca presented a video screening of new work created during her residency.
