Arts Manager – As the international projects director of The Ilkholm Theatre of Mark Weil, Maxim coordinated the company’s international tours and exchanges in Russia, Western Europe, Asia and the US. The Ilkhom Theatre, based in Tashkent, is the only independent theater company in Uzbekistan, with an audience of more than 25,000 spectators a year. During his ArtsLink Fellowship, Maxim successfully engaged in partnerships and observed the daily operations and funding strategies of Yerba Buena Center for The Arts as well as similar self-sustaining theater companies in the Bay Area.
After his relocation to New York in 2011, Maxim joined CEC ArtsLink in the capacity of Program Coordinator for One Big City, ArtsLink Awards (ArtsLink International Fellowship), and Global Arts Lab (Art Prospect) programs. Since 2012, Maxim has curated and managed over 100 ArtsLink International Fellowships from all 37 countries. In his position of Program Manager, he coordinated ArtsLink Projects Awards for US-based artists undertaking projects abroad; Playing Together project for Central Asian musicians in cooperation with the Omnibus Ensemble (Uzbekistan) and played crucial role during CEC ArtsLink’s transition to new directorship. Currently he resides in New York City.
