Linda Hesh combines the personal and political playing with taboos and challenging social norms in a variety of media. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she lived in New York City for a while before landing in Alexandria, Virginia. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois , she went on to receive her MFA from State University of New York. Hesh’s art is held in public collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The National Museum of Women in the Arts, The Kinsey Institute, and The Library of Congress. Her work has been selected for exhibitions by international curators including Milena Kalinovska, Sanford Biggers, Claudia Gould and Philip Brookman. She has exhibited locally including the Art Museum of the Americas and G Fine Art as well as nationally in Bergamot Center in Los Angeles and Exit Art in New York City and internationally in a public art festival in Saint Petersberg, Russia.
