The residency and fellowship programs at Kala Institute, a former ArtsLink grantee, provide emerging and established artists with opportunities to create new, experimental artwork and to exchange ideas with colleagues from many parts of the world. Mr. Serapionov worked in Kala’s Electronic Media Center and developed a new two-channel video project based on his experiences in California. He gave presentations, artist’s talks and screenings at Kala Institute, UC Berkeley and other locations in the Bay Area. He had many opportunities to interact with local artists and to visit local arts organizations.
