Alex Fisher is a writer and curator from Buffalo, New York. In spring 2023, he received his master’s in design studies with distinction from Harvard University, where he was a graduate student associate of the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies. He received his bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in economics and history of art. In 2019-2020, he served as a Fulbright scholar in Ukraine, where he worked with a wide range of cultural organizations. His research focuses on legacy (re)formation and mutual associations of natural, built, and political environments. He regularly contributes to a range of international art media. He currently works for the International Foundation Manifesta as the Manifesta 17 European Host City Liaison.
