Prof. Habil. Dr. Gintautas Mažeikis is a public media commentator, the head of the Center of Social and Political Critique at Vytautas Magnus University, in Kaunas, Lithuania, and a philosopher and public activist. His first PhD was in “Symbolical thinking of Renaissance”, and his second was in “Pragmatic Philosophical Anthropology”.
Gintautas’ sphere of research centers around critical theory and symbolic thinking. The areas that interest him are mainly critique, specifically in regards to propaganda, public relations, cultural diplomacy, creative industries, messianism and occult political movements.
Topics from his latest research can be found in his book “Critical Thinking and Cultural Politics” (published in Lithuanian). Gintautas is also a member of many NGO movements, including the European Cultural Parliament.
