Mike Khoury is an experimental composer, violinist/violist, and improviser deeply influenced by Detroit and Arab-diasporic musical traditions. His duo with choreographer/organizer Leyya Tawil has been presented inter/nationally in conversation with traditional folk concerns, political identity, and the Arab avant garde. As a Detroit curator, Khoury has presented live or recorded Griot Galaxy, Black Merda, Ben Miller and Cary Loren. His curation functions through the Entropy Stereo record label and the Entropy Studios performance space.
