Anna Russ is the author of poetry for both adults and children. Born in 1981 in the city of Kazan, she has worked as a painter, designer, sculptor, theater consultant, musician, and translator. Russ regularly organizes literary readings in stairwells and elevators and on rooftops. She is the winner of the "Debut" Prize, one of Russia’s top literary competitions for young authors, in the category of "Children’s Literature", as well as an "Open Russia" award. Russ has represented Russia at the Frankfurt Book Fair and participated in literary seminars at Peredelkino (a town with a prominent literary traditions). She has also received awards for her song lyrics. Her children’s poems have been translated into French and German
