Victor Fedoseev was born in 1979 in Moscow. In 2002, he graduated from the Department of Microelectronics at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI). From 2000-2005 he continued his education in the Department of Theater Journalism at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and worked as a press secretary for several leading theater festivals. In 2004, he worked with a classmate from MEPhI to found a design studio specializing in developing software, websites and print materials for theater and film companies. In 2005, working with Mikhail Sinev, a 2006 Open World alumnus, Fedoseev launched the Kinoteatr.doc Film Festival where he currently works as an advertising and public relations director. Since 2006, he has also been working as a film curator at the Fabrica Project Aktovy Zal , the first independent non-profit contemporary visual arts organization in Moscow. Fedoseev also organizes The Big Festival of Cartoons in Moscow and curates a weekly series, Cartoon on Weekends.
