Olga Leonova is a performer from Kamensk-Uralsk. She studied theatre at the Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts and began performing at the Chelyabinsk Youth Theatre after graduating, in addition to singing with various local rock bands on the side. In 1999, Olga won several competitions that garnered her attention in Moscow and invitations to tour abroad. It was renowned choreographer Sasha Pepelyaev who “made” Olga dance in the avant-garde musical GLIMA, which premiered at the DANSSTATIONEN theatre in Sweden in 2000. Since then, Olga has been known as a multidisciplinary performer who combines voice, dance and acting in her work. She most recently appeared in the play Liquidation, presented by LIQUID Theatre (Moscow-Chelyabinsk), which won the prestigious Golden Mask prize in 2009 in the Experimental Theatre category.
