US artist Michael Bramwell in residency in St. Petersburg, Russia, to work on Cultural Maintenance-Russia, an international, practice-based project that investigates the anonymous, invisible labor of maintenance workers who work within cultural sites worldwide.

US artist Les Joynes in residency in St. Petersburg, Russia, to create cabinets of curiosity using found objects and audio captures from St. Petersburg: collected, borrowed from museums and private collections and purchased, from the period from 1977to 2017.

Back Apartment Residency

During her residency in St. Petersburg, Russia, US artist Kimberly Schoen is going to take mutual incomprehension as her starting point and will attempt translations between Russian and English. In a country where she has a family history but no linguistic knowledge Schoen sees language as a blank page on which to draw out the inherent instabilities and comic possibilities of the process.

French artist Damien Zhang in residency in St. Petersburg, Russia, to visit artists' studios and meet with curators and museum professionals to establish partnerships. In addition, he will continue his ongoing research into Russian born artist Ossip Zadkine.
